Working with large files: EViews 6 Student Version is restricted in that it will not save very large workfiles. However such files can be opened and worked with as usual.
Files with series containing more than 1500 observations. The following message appears when the file is opened. Workfile cannot be saved even if some series are deleted. However, save your results (equations, figures, tables, etc.) as objects in the workfile. Delete the series from the workfile and save the workfile under a new name. This will preserve your results.
Files with series containing
fewer than 1500 observations but more than 15,000 total observations.
